Bonding: certified for multiple applications

Industrial bonding has taken the place of traditional joining techniques such as welding or soldering in many areas of manufacturing. Bonding is an established process for the secure joining of components.

Our adhesive specialists, trained according to the DVS guideline, ensure that the preparations and process parameters essential for the adhesive bond are precisely defined and complied with. This is how they ensure consistent quality when bonding. If necessary, we gladly support our customers in developing adhesive-ready constructions and in the selection of adhesive substances and adhesive systems.
In June 2015, we successfully completed the certification test according to DIN 6701 for bonding in rail vehicle engineering. Since then, we have been able to bond Class A2 components.
Advantages of bonding respectively of bonded joints:

  • During the bonding process there is no warping and no stress, such as for example is caused by the addition of heat during welding.
  • When bonding, joints can be sealed.
  • Bonding does not cause any changes to the surface or texture of the bonding partners.
  • Bonding simultaneously provides vibration damping.
  • Through bonding it possible to join different materials together.
  • Bonding ensures a uniform transfer of force, without peaks in the tensioning caused by the joining of large areas.
  • Electrically insulating the connection partner prevents contact-corrosion when bonding.
